Amazon: Prime Day

While working as an L6 Senior Motion Designer at Amazon Devices Brand Studio, I helped create a series of campaign images for the Amazon homepage during Prime Day. Working under a creative director, I partnered with the broader Prime Day team to develop three distinct visual directions featuring different Amazon devices, all unified by vibrant color palettes and a recurring confetti theme.

The final renders needed to work across a wide range of placements throughout the Amazon website, including both desktop and mobile formats. This meant building each composition with enough flexibility to support multiple crops, aspect ratios, and responsive layouts without losing the clarity of the products or the energy of the campaign.

My Role

I was responsible for the 3D production across all of the campaign images, including device asset preparation, scene assembly, materials, lighting, rendering, and final visual refinement.

Using CAD based model assets, I prepared the devices for production in Cinema 4D and created the final renders with Redshift. I worked closely with the creative director and Prime Day team to make sure each composition highlighted the products clearly while maintaining a playful, colorful visual language across the campaign.

Confetti System

The confetti was created from scratch as a custom simulation. I developed a system that allowed the pieces to fall and settle naturally, then baked the simulation so I could art direct the final placement around the devices, typography, and required crop areas.

Because the campaign needed to scale beyond the initial images, I also created a reusable confetti toolkit for the Prime Day team. This allowed them to add matching confetti elements to additional campaign assets while maintaining consistency with the original visual system.
